Breaking News::: E3 Cancelled Permanently

According to various sources on the internet including IGN, E3 is permanently cancelled, which comes to no surprise considering the 2022 E3 was also cancelled for what seems to be the very same reason. “After more than two decades of hosting an event that has served as a central showcase for the U.S. and global video game industry, the Entertainment Software Association has decided to bring E3 to a close, we know the entire industry, players and creators alike have a lot of passion for E3. We share that passion. We know it’s difficult to say goodbye to such a beloved event, but it’s the right thing to do given the new opportunities our industry has to reach fans and partners” stated in an interview with The Washington Post.
These issues stem back to 2019 with the pandemic closing down many conventions, shows, sporting events, & concerts. Many developers like Sony, Nintendo, & Microsoft as well as other developers opted to do in house conventions during those times, displaying their new technology directly to the internet through their own sponsored online conventions that were made public. In 2022 E3 Shut down due to lack of interest from the vendors once more, which lead me to believe that that was the final nail in the coffin of E3. Many other conventions which have started back up have seen the steady flow of fans coming back in over the years, so this leads me to believe that there may be something more internal with the issue. We will keep everyone updated on anything we hear or see about the situation.
